Last night as I was letting Miss M out to go potty, (THANK GOD I was holding her in my arms!), a great big huge spider ran away from the door I had just stepped out of. It was running fast on the sidewalk. That spider was a big as a freakin' dinner plate.
I hunted that spider down and stomped it's hairy ass!!
Now I'm seriously considering buring that shoe. The thought of having spider guts on my shoe just totally squigges me out. BIG TIME.
I think I may also have to burn the sock.
I think I may also have to take some gasoline and pour onto the spot of the spider death and burn it away.
Too much over kill??
I think not!!

Two Things...
OK, so here's the deal. I need your help with two things.
First up: Husband and I went to a new local restaurant/bar Friday night for drinks and dinner. Everyone in there was really friendly and outgoing. I may have gotten a slight bit tipsy at some point in the evening. I mean, Hey! People were buying me drinks left and right. Made friends with a lot of the couples in there, can't remember names now, but everyone was really really nice. Get the picture? OK. The food was EXCELLENT!!
Last night Husband and I had to opportunity to take Sonny Boy to this same restaurant/bar. Again, the owners came out to greet us because they remembered us. They chatted with us quite a bit actually.
After we left the establishment, we stopped by my sister's house for a quick visit. Sissie informed me that this restaurant is known as a "Swinger's Club" !!! I was shocked!!
No body came on to us both times we were there.
I spoke with my second brother and his wife, they confirmed the rumor. My sissie and my sissie-in-law both said that "people" have told them that when they have gone there the wait staff has asked them if they are a "Couple". Evidential, the "Couple" thing is code for Swingers or something. I have no idea!!!!
For the life of me I cannot recall if they asked Husband and I if we were a "Couple" when we went in there Friday night.
So, my question is this: Now that we know the rumor should be continue to frequent this establishment?
I prefer not to because I don't want to be associated as such. Husband wants to go back one more time to see what happens.
So, tell me what you think about this.....
Secondly: You may remember that I have an 06 Trailblazer, right? We call her Teeb and I just love her to pieces. Sonny Boy will be turning 16 in December, so we decided that he would get Teeb and I would get a new vehicle. Husband and I decided to go to our local dealership just to get a feel of what I possibly wanted as a replacement. I knew I wanted another SUV, but I really wasn't digging the Chevy Traverse. The Traverse is the Trailblazer replacement and it is more of a crossover type vehicle. Plus it only comes in a 6 cylinder which I'm not especially fond of, I prefer a V8 with lots of POWER!!
So, while we were at the dealership they just happened to get in a Chevy Tahoe off a lease program. I really liked the new Tahoe's but couldn't afford a new one. The one I wanted was around $52,000, which is WAY beyond my budget!! But this lease program Tahoe they had just gotten in was spectacular!! It had all the bells and whistles. It had some options that I didn't even know existed!! Heated windshield wiper fluid?? Who would have thunk it!! It's an '07 with only 32,000 miles on her. They shot us a price we could live with and WAH-LA!! I got a sport red Tahoe.
Now here comes my question....
What should we name her??
I've been calling her "Tally", but that is easily tongue twisted because I'm used to calling my vehicle "Teeb".
She's red, so I was thinking maybe "Ruby".
Boy wants to, and has been, calling her the "Ho", but I told him "No Way!!"
Your help is much appreciated on both matters. I will await your responses!!

LOVE HATE

I hate Watermelon!
I hate Cantaloupe!!
Want to hear something really funny?? I live in the watermelon and cantaloupe capital of the world!!
I kid you not.
Watermelons and cantaloupe stink and are mushy and slimy and the taste, while a lot of people just love it, leaves me gagging. My brother will sit down and eat a whole cantaloupe for supper.
Watermelon is such a king of this county we have a "Watermelon Drop" at the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve. I guess that they have a big lit up watermelon, and they drop real watermelon's out of it, one for each year. Hokey, no?? I didn't go, but Sonny Boy was there.
Do you think if I make a public pronouncement of my hatred of the nasty fruit that they'll kick me out of the county??
I don't like tomatoes either. I do, however, like ketchup, salsa, and tomato soup. Just can't stand a slimy sliced tomato. **gag** I don't like them fried either!!
There is no love lost between me and the eggplant or squash either. But I do like a good slightly spicy yellow squash soup.
Not real fond of zucchini. I will eat maybe one piece of zuch. bread a year. Husband likes fried zucchini and every now and then I will humor him.
I don't care for cucumbers either. They really stink and are mushy too!!
I do like fresh strawberries, peaches, fresh picked cooked with a big 'ole ham hock green beans, and grapes (seedless) ((white)).
Love mushrooms!!
I'll eat a carrot if it has been cooked all day in beef broth with a roast. Otherwise for-get it.
I haven't touched celery in years. Never could stand the stringiness of it.
Raisins remind me of dead squished spiders, so they're off the list.
Pecans are just OK. I'll eat them baked in a pie, but wouldn't eat them just as a snack.
Lived on roasted peanuts when I was pregnant. I really like peanut butter. PB is even better with my homemade from scratch grape jelly!!
I like a good juicy navel orange and occasionally will drink a glass of OJ. I couldn't get enough Sunny D when I was pregnant. I chugged GALLONS of that stuff!!
Have always loved shrimp. Will eat it any way prepared.
Wouldn't touch an oyster in any shape or form if you paid me.
Pickles on a burger? Slap your grandma!!
I will occasionally eat a dill pickle, but would not ever eat the dill pickle potato chips.
I realize this list is getting rather long. And, I realize that I've listed an awful lot of food that I don't care for. I guess I'm picky. I've never considered myself to be a picky eater before though.
So, what's your list of the food's you wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole? What foods do you have a love affair with??

Too Funny Not To Share
My sister's daughter - also known as my Niece! - is a nurse. (As my sissie is too!) Niece was a travelling nurse and lived in California for a year. (San Diego and San Francisco). She recently returned back home again in Indiana, to Indianapolis. She works at one of the huge hospitals in Indy.
One morning she had to report to work at 6:freaking 30 to attend a computer coding/charting class. This class was held in a different building than the one she normally works in. She parked on the other side of her parking lot and attended her class. When she got outside her little Orange VW bug was gone!! She had mistakenly parked in some type of restricted zone and they towed her cute little car.
She had to pay $170.00 bucks to get her cute little car out of the impound.
She was very mad and angry.
Later that afternoon, she stopped by a discount type store to purchase cleaning supplies and what-not for her new apartment. She had a cart full of items. When she reached the check out aisle, **BLINK** out went the electricity! She didn't have time to wait until the power to come back on to purchase her items, so she just left.
She was even more very mad and angry.
That evening she was telling her boyfriend what a rotten day she had. Boyfriend arrived at her apartment with a nice big bouquet of fresh flowers. She put the flowers in a glass vase and filled it with water. She picked up the vase to sniff the beautiful flowers when **WHOOSH** she dropped and shattered the glass vase.
She was beside herself with madness and angriness!!!!!
I told my sister to tell Niece that perhaps she should just go to bed for the rest of the day even though it was only 6:30 p.m.. Sissie told me that Niece doesn't have a bed at her new apartment yet and that she is sleeping on an air mattress.
We laughed because we figured the air would go out of her air mattress like a giant balloon flying around the room!!
She got mad and angry with us!! Imagine that!!

Its about time
Sorry that it's been for-ev-er since I last posted. Really nothing has happened in my world that has been blog worthy.
- Planting season has been one long drawn out battle against the elements. Some fields husband has had to plant three times. Other fields (100 acres) were planted and totally underwater. While I'm not the one making the decisions and driving a tractor, my Husband and Boy do, and so it also effects my world.
- Boy finished his freshman year in High School. I'm not really thrilled with his fall semester calendar as he has no study hall and I think one would be beneficial, especially in the fall when he is so super busy with the Marching Band, getting acclimated to 10th grade, plus helping is dad farm when he gets any spare time.
- My work continues to be just work. Nothing exciting.
- Hot flashes suck!! My family doctor put me on Prosac as that is supposed to help hot flashes. I can't really say that it has helped all that much, but I can tell you that I wake up in a much better mood everyday. I must be really weird in that my feet get so burning hot. It's like lava right under my skin of my feet. I swear a person could roast marshmallows by the souls of my feet!!
- Roscoe, the dog that found us on Easter weekend, got hit on the highway in front of our house. We had him 5 weeks. He was so full of love and a very good boy. I called the sheriffs office to complain about the speed of the coal trucks, but it hasn't really helped any. He got his shots on a Saturday and hit by a semi on the Tuesday after.
- I've totally embellished in FaceBook. Most of you know me on FB as well, so you really already know what's going on with me. But I was told to "Wake Up", so that's one of the reason's I'm posting.
- I do find blog posting cathartic. A cleansing of sorts if you will.
- If you want me to I will post sometime soon about my cell phone bill and how I am going to have Boy's thumb nails removed!!
Leave me a comment to let me know that you haven't totoally forgotten about me!!!

This, That, and a Whole Lot of the Other
Boy got his smaller (250cc) four wheeler stuck in a ditch last night. He coaxed me outside and quickly gave me the run-down on how to ride his larger (400cc) four wheeler and what I needed to do to get him unstuck. At first I was scared and not very good at driving it, but it all came back to me. I used to have a dirt bike when I was a teen.

We had a "It's to wet to farm, so let's drink Margarita's" party at our house Saturday night. If you look closely enough you can see my glass has watermelon slices and pink sugar on it. I was drinking watermelon margarita's. They were yummy!
We had about 15 people show up. The last couple left just before midmight.
Here's my friend Stompy drinking her 'rita. Yes, we have matching 'rita glasses.
These next pictures were a whole lot of WORK!! This is the finished product of my closet cleaning. This is the spring/summer collection. (and, yes, that is a gun case in my closet) ((don't ask why!))
More finished product of cleaning: (top shelf)
This was the huge pile of clothing that I had to bag up and give to Goodwill. I had four 33 gallon trash bags full. A lot of the jeans you see laying here have been in my closet for quite some time. They, unfortunately, are smaller sizes than what I wear now. I kept hoping that I would get back into them.
